Important Notes:
1. The connector could be the weak point since there's no protection facilitated. Please put the iPod/iPhone on the table when connecting to the battery.
2. Please DO NOT try to charge the battery while it is charging your iPhone or iPod, it will lead to the malfunction of your battery.
3. Very few customers may meet the warming message "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone", the problem could be caused by one of following five reasons.
* Third party battery software
So far we have only met two defective unit which lead the same warning message shown on our test iphones. Most of our customer returned items did not show the warming messages on any of our 11 test iPhones 3gs and 2 iphone 4g, which are at the original default manufacturer setting, cleaning and empty.
third-party battery management software may cause some compatibility problems, we would like to suggest our customers to upgrade your iPhone firmware to the latest iOS 4.0 and remove all third-party battery management software to avoid possible problems.
* Dirty dock connector. This could be caused by some kind of debris or dust in your dock connector.
The solution entails cleaning the docking area of your phone. We suggest using a dry soft bristled tooth brush. Some people have suggested using compressed air and vacuum tools. However, please try not to damage the product by applying any aggressive method or even water cleaning.

* This product was designed for the original iPhone, the jailbreak iPhone user may meet this warming message
* The item is defective
This product is very reliable with less than 0.1% faulty rate. However if you receive the un-working item, please do not hesitate to contact us for a replacement or refund.

It's not a great product. As some other reviewers mentioned it stops charging from time to time (every 5-10mins). It shows the message that accessory is not compatible. Unplugging and plugging it again helps and it charges the battery again. After connecting the pack feels bit wobbly (I try to keep it on flat surface so it wouldn't damage the connector). In terms of size: same width as iPhone 3GS, half the length, about 1,5x deeper than phone.
It's a plastic case, but doesn't feel cheap - so it's fine on this front.
So what's the verdict? I won't be returning it. It's okay for emergency use, just keep it in your bag, when needed charge your phone for 10-15mins to give it enough juice for that important call etc. For that price it does the trick, but if you expect a high quality product with no faults - that's not it.
works fine if phone in airplane mode Sent on 04 September 2010I was a bit wary after all the dodgy reviews. I charged as suggested and used it on my phone while at work. It did keep doing the "charging not supported by this accessory" thing but as the phone was near a computer I noticed that every time this message displayed the phone had transmitted something as the computer made a noise.
I tried charging it with the phone in airplane mode and had no problems. Have done this again with my phone and ipod touch in airplane mode and had no problems. Seems to give about a phones worth of charge.
All in all pleased with it and worth the money. It will be going to Bestival with me next week!
Love it Sent on 25 August 2010Brought this for V fest to get me through the weekend with my phone and worked a treat, one of the best products I have brought for my I phone.
No Problems with it at all get normally 1 full charge and then 1 3/4 charge out of it.
